Police in Union County have captured an escaped fugitive inmate who eluded authorities for two days during a South Carolina manhunt after he jumped from a courthouse window. Brent Tyson Austin, 41, was caught around 11 p.m. Sunday, Sheriff David Taylor said Monday. Agents with the State Law Enforcement Division, S.C. Department of Corrections and Union County deputies took Austin into custody. After Austin escaped, police agencies throughout South Carolina were notified to be looking for him, and highway signs including those along Interstate 77 in York County advised the public to be on the lookout for him.
